Campbelltown Golf Club Amalgamation - Update

Members would be aware that the Directors of Campbelltown Catholic Club Limited and Campbelltown Golf Club Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 23 December 2009 in relation to an amalgamation between the Clubs.

An amalgamation with the Golf Club is a very exciting opportunity with many benefits available for the members of both Clubs. This amalgamation will allow two local Clubs to grow and prosper for the benefit of Members and the Macarthur community.

Our intention is to maintain Campbelltown Golf Club as a golfing facility and clubhouse, servicing members and visitors in much the same way as it does now. There will not be any changes to the current procedures for operating Club competitions or providing for public access to either the golf course or clubhouse.

It is hoped that the amalgamation will receive the majority support from the members of both Clubs and that the amalgamation will be approved by late 2010.

To facilitate this timeframe, Club members of both Clubs will be asked to approve the amalgamation at Extraordinary General Meetings to be held as follows:

Campbelltown Golf Club                    3 May 2010
Campbelltown Catholic Club            26 May 2010

Members are encouraged to view the documents below:

In the meantime, Members who have any questions regarding the amalgamation are able to email Campbelltown Catholic Club CEO, Michael Lavorato at ceo@cathclub.com.au.
